Our everyday lives are full of rich perspectives and evocative experiences, but we are often reluctant to share them. Maybe we think no one is interested. Maybe they’re too painful. Or private. Or joy-filled. We can find a million excuses.

As a lifelong journalist, editor and interviewer, I’ve spent more than 30 years (and counting) talking to thousands and thousands of people. I’ve come to believe strongly in storytelling vs. story-taking. And who better to tell stories than those who have lived them? Professional media outlets are wonderful and I adore them (and submit plenty of content to them) … but they need to make money, so they have parameters that I’m not limited by here.
